The JO Ascent Team is for divers who wish to pursue competitive diving but may not have a complete set of dives, and/or who are involved in other extracurricular activities. JO Ascent Team members must have a 1m skill set (see below) that will allow them to successfully develop a competitive diving list appropriate to their age group on 1m, 3m, and platform (5m, 7.5m, and 10m) for the upcoming competitive cycle, which is typically March through July.

Divers and their families can choose two practice times per week from the following times:

  • Mondays, 6:30-8:00 PM
  • Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 PM
  • Saturdays, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Sundays, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

For staffing purposes and workout planning, divers need to commit to specific days of the week. Whenever possible, we will allow make-ups in the event of conflicts, but divers need to plan to come to the same practices every week. Please notify the coaching staff when you enroll what days you will attend.

Monthly Tuition and Annual Fees: $200/month + a nonrefundable annual joining fee of $200, due during the first month of the diver’s participation on the JO Team. Divers who compete in meets throughout the year will pay $50/day in coaching fees for each meet.

Additionally, semi-private dryland / dryboard training is highly recommended and can be arranged and paid for separately.

Please Note: Monthly fees are offered at a reduced rate compared to the standard rate of $30/hour, and cannot pro-rated. There will be times when there are circumstances beyond our control (e.g., holidays, football games, lifeguard shortages, weather conditions, world events that prevent base access, etc.) that prevent us from having practice. We will always do our best to offer make-up opportunities; however, this will not always be possible.
