We are the only diving club in Colorado Springs to offer dryboard lessons and training to our athletes. The dryboard is a conventional diving board set up to land on a large mat instead of the water. There is an overhead spotting rig with a harness, which allows divers to learn new dives in a belt before attempting them into the water. Dryboard also allows divers to fine-tune dives, as it is often easier to make corrections in the belt than it is into the water. During dryboard training, divers work one-on-one with the coach and can complete many repetitions in a very short period of time.
Competitive team members regularly do dryboard training. We also offer private, one-on-one dryboard lessons. These lessons are 30 minutes long on Tuesdays between 6:00 and 8:00 PM in the USAFA dryland room.
Price per 30-minute private lesson:
$40 per half hour for current members (athletes currently paying CSDC tuition)
$50 per half hour for non-members (athlete not currently enrolled in a CSDC program; athletes must still have a current AAU membership for insurance purposes)

Payments must be made prior to the lesson; you may pay online or by cash or check before the lesson.
Please Note: Athletes may not be in the dryland room without a coach plus at least one more athlete/coach/parent/guardian present. During any private lessons, a parent/guardian/another coach must be present. Verify before dropping off your athlete that there will be other coaches or athletes present during training times. For parents/guardians driving their athletes to and from practice, plan to drop your athlete off and pick them up within 10 minutes of the starting and ending time of practices.
