Beginning, novice, and intermediate divers who wish to gain additional skills can benefit from dryland / dryboard training. For more on dryland training, please click here: Dryland Training.

We offer semi-private dryboard lessons with two athletes. Each lesson is 45 minutes and includes a minimum of 20 minutes per diver of safety belt work over either dryboard or trampoline. Athletes will alternate their time in the belt in order to provide some rest time in between turns.

Note: Divers over 120 pounds may be limited to -03 (dives with one and a half somersaults) and -04 dives (dives with two somersaults).

Dryboard lessons will be held in the dryland training room at the United States Air Force Academy. For directions to the facility, please see http://coloradospringers.org/location-and-facilities/.

Cost: $35 per athlete per time 45-minute block. All athletes must have a current AAU membership for insurance purposes. Each time block requires two athletes. Coach Jim will reach out to you prior to your scheduled time if there are not enough participants to hold the lesson.

Please Note: Athletes may not be in the dryland room without a coach plus at least one more athlete/coach/parent/guardian present. Athletes under the age of 16 should have a parent or guardian present. Verify before dropping off your athlete that there will be other coaches or athletes present during training times. For parents/guardians driving their athletes to and from practice, plan to drop your athlete off and pick them up within 10 minutes of the starting and ending time of practices.
