The Learn to Dive Lesson Program is geared toward teaching beginning and novice divers basic diving skills on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Lessons are open to people of all ages and abilities – anyone who has a desire to learn how to dive and is comfortable in deep water.

Lessons are 55 minutes long, and are held at the United States Air Force Academy. Lessons are offered on a pay-as-you-go drop-in basis so that divers can start and stop at any time. You also have the option to pay a monthly fee. For current lesson prices, please see Prices and Online Payments.

Our summer schedule starts on June 1st!

Lessons will be offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from 6:00-6:55 PM and 7:00-7:55 PM.

Please note that there are time when the pool is not available due to use by other groups. We have no control over this, but will notify you as soon as we know. If you have already paid for a lesson, you will be credited forward for that payment.

We may also need to cancel lessons if we do not have sufficient demand for a particular lesson time and/or do not have coaching staff available. We will let you know ahead of time.

Please see the Club Calendar for the most current schedule.

What to Wear / Bring:

Divers should wear an athletic swimsuit (jammers or Speedos for boys; a one-piece suit for girls) and bring several towels, as the pool deck can get chilly. Divers may also wish to purchase a shammy sports towel to dry off in between dives.

Parents / Guardians:

You may observe lessons for from the observation deck. You may not be on the pool deck during practice. If you need to speak to coaching staff, please do so before or after lessons. Also, we kindly ask that you refrain from coaching your child from the stands during the lesson.
