The J.O. Summit Team is for divers who have chosen diving as one of their primary extracurricular activities. Summit Team members must have a skill set that will allow them to practice on 1m, 3m, and platform, as well as develop full competitive lists for their age groups on 1m and 3m. Most importantly, divers must have a positive attitude and good rapport with the coaching staff and other team members. Attendance, effort, and attitude are valued above all else.

Divers and their families must commit to a 12-month period with the club and to attending club meets throughout the year, which often involve out-of-state travel.

J.O. Summit Team members actively work toward learning the dives needed to be competitive at a regional, zone, and national level, as well as in college. These dives include, but are not limited to, the following:

1m: 104b, 105c, 203c/b, 303c/b, 403c/b, 5132d, 5134d, 5231d, 5233d
3m: 105c/b, 203c/b/a, 205c/b, 303c/b, 305c/b, 403c/b, 405c/b, 5132d, 5134d, 5231d, 5233d, 5235d

Summit team members also work toward developing a platform list. In addition to pool time, Summit Team members participate in dryland training for general fitness, to gain strength and speed, and to work on dive-specific drills.

Summit Team members may opt to practice three times per week + two dryland sessions per week, or four times per week + three dryland sessions. Available times:

  • Mondays: dryland, 5:00-6:20 PM; water, 6:30-8:00 PM
  • Wednesdays: dryland, 5:00-6:20 PM; water, 6:30-8:00 PM
  • Saturdays: water, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. There is no dryland available on Saturdays.
  • Sundays: dryland, 9:30-10:50 AM; water, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

For divers opting for the 3x per week option, please commit to specific days of the week – for staffing purposes and workout planning. Whenever possible, we will allow make-ups in the event of conflicts, but for staffing purposes and workout planning, divers need to plan to come to the same practices every week. Please notify the coaching staff when you enroll what day(s) you will attend practices and dryland.

Monthly Tuition and Annual Fees:

  • 4x per week + 3 dryland practices: $300/month + $200 annual joining fee + $500 travel fee
  • 3x per week + 2 dryland practices: $250/month + $200 annual joining fee + $500 travel fee
