Access as of September 2021: In order to get on base, all drivers will need to show a current driver’s license and have up-to-date car registration. Additionally, any adult in the vehicle may be asked to show ID, so please keep this in mind. You may also be asked for a special events permit. Please let us know if you need one.

Depending on the circumstances, access to the base changes. This can be due to weather, disease outbreaks, security concerns due to political events, and more. This is 100% beyond our control, and all team members and their families need to accept this as part of training at USAFA. It is a privilege for us to have access to these facilities, but that privilege can be revoked at any time for any reason, so we need to understand that there will be times when our training is interrupted due to issues that are bigger than our club. Although it is frustrating, please do not take out your frustration on CSDC Coaching Staff or USAFA personnel, as this can be grounds for dismissal from the club. For example:

There are times when base access is limited only to people with military ID. We are fortunate to have a number of military families in our club. In these cases, we coordinate to meet in the parking lot to be sure everyone can ride in a car with a military “sponsor.”

There are times when base access is limited to individuals on an EAL list. In order to get on the EAL list, all divers who drive and all parents who drive divers need to submit the following information, unless they have military ID. It can often take up to 14 days to appear on the EAL list, so we ask that all families without military ID submit the following to Coach Jim (jehocking (at) sbcglobal (dot) net) for us to keep on file.

  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Driver’s License Number
  • State of License Issuance

Please remember to send information for everyone who will be or may be driving onto base.
